Why is the SWT method better than shaving?

In the field of hair removal, a distinction is made between epilation (i.e. permanent hair removal) and temporary hair removal, also known as depilation. Shaving, the most popular form of depilation, is still the most commonly used method to remove annoying hair.

Shaving requires a lot of time:

Shaving is the most time-consuming form of hair removal. Body parts requiring hair removal need to be shaved at least two to three times a week, and in many cases almost daily. The shaved hair grows back quickly, forming unpleasant stubble.Hair removed using the SWT method cannot grow back because the treatment permanently destroys hair at the root. Only hair that is removed professionally and permanently will lead to the desired result of permanently smoother skin forever.

Shaving leads to irritated skin:

Constant shaving repeatedly harms skin. Redness and pimples, which heal slowly up to the next shave, quickly develop. Skin can become inflamed and ingrown hairs can form in such a sensitive area. Hairless Skin treatments are pleasantly gentle on the skin and leave no redness or pimples behind. This is an important advantage when removing annoying female facial hair but also depilating private parts.

Shaving is costly:

High-quality razors and the corresponding blades aren’t exactly cheap. Blades must be frequently changed when used on a daily basis. Depending on how sensitive the skin is, expensive care products usually also have to be used to treat the skin after the treatment in order to quickly prevent redness, pimples, and irritated skin. The SWT method uses pure light on your skin. The melanin then converts the light energy into heat. This heat is then transferred to the hair follicle, which is destroyed so that new hair cannot grow.

Is the SWT method better than waxing or sugaring?

Waxing and sugaring cause severe pain. Ripping out hair causes skin irritation and redness after waxing. Sugaring is usually well tolerated because the hair is pulled out in the direction of hair growth and the sugaring paste is made of natural ingredients. Sugaring sensitive areas such as the face can be very painful and lead to very unpleasant irritated and red skin.

Although the waxing and sugaring result lasts longer, it usually has to be repeated after a few weeks. In the case of both methods, the hair to be removed must reach a certain minimum length before it can be pulled out again.

The advantages of using the methods used by Hairless Skin over sugaring and waxing are plain to see:

  • The SWT method is very gentle on the skin and virtually painless.
  • The SWT method guarantees long-lasting results.
  • The SWT method leaves no redness behind, making it the ideal option for permanently removing annoying facial hair such as female facial hair.
  • Your hair doesn’t have to reach a minimum length before treating hair with the SWT method.

Why is the SWT method better than epilation?

Epilation is the removal of hair and its roots.
A wide range of epilation methods exists, such as traditional methods like epilation using wax and modern techniques that use lasers, IPL, or electric currents. Epilation is generally used to define the tearing out of hair, including the root, using an electrical device that is equipped with a tweezer system.

Does epilation sound painful? Well, it is!
Epilation also has clear disadvantages in comparison to the SWT method:

  • Epilation must be repeated on a regular basis. The hair is not permanently removed as it is with Hairless Skin.
  • Epilation is painful and causes red irritated skin, while the SWT method leaves behind velvety smooth, well-cared-for skin.
  • For epilation, hair must be at least 2 to 5 mm in length so that tweezers can grab ahold of the hair. That’s all unnecessary with the SWT method.
  • Skin care products are required after ripping out hair in order to soothe the irritated skin.

Why is the SWT method better than depilatory cream?

Aside from conventional shaving, chemical substances (typically depilatory creams or foams) can be used to remove hair.

Depilatory cream has two distinct disadvantages compared to the SWT ©: method:

  • It contains the ingredient thioglycolic acid, which attacks the skin.
  • Depilatory cream or foam must be used again after a few days.
  • It usually causes itching, redness, or even rashes.
  • Many of our customers have tried depilatory creams and usually experienced strong reactions. We believe chemicals should have nothing to do with the skin.

The SWT method offers a long-term alternative that’s gentle on the skin. Once hair is removed, it cannot grow back. The treatment leaves skin feeling silky smooth without any redness. Test it out and enjoy a free trial treatment during your consultation.

Comparison of IPL vs. lasers

Lasers and IPL are effective methods to permanently get rid of unwanted hair. Like the SWT method, they are painless, effective, and enduring.

The laser is usually only applied to dark hair on fairer skin. Lasers cannot typically remove blonde, white, or gray hair. IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatment tends to only work on hair that’s sufficiently pigmented, in other words, typically darker hair. The SWT method used by Hairless Skin offers the best of both worlds, allowing the treatment of almost all skin and hair types. Gentle, effective, and enduring.

  • The SWT method can now treat almost all hair and skin types.
  • The unique wavelength filter used makes the SWT method particularly gentle and extremely effective in Hairless Skin treatments.
  • The SWT method does not cause any pigmentary changes or burn the skin.
  • The manufacturer ELLIPSE regularly trains and tests Hairless Skin employees with regard to SWT method treatments.
  • Hairless Skin only allows certified employees to perform treatments.
